Video: How to Tell Your Parents You're Accidentally Pregnant

When it comes to getting pregnant there is no perfect family planning options for everybody, basically when you get pregnant is going to depend on who you are, what you want in life and many other factors. But regardless of the various factors that you take into account you and your partner are the only ones who can decide if you are ready to get pregnant again or not. Here are some factors that you should think about before getting pregnant:

  • How old is the youngest child? - if you have other children you need to think about this because if you are still getting up in the middle of the night two or three times a night with a young baby you can find that it is going to be hard to cope with all of the physical demands of being pregnant on top of being a parent to a young baby.
  • How much attention do the other children require? - many people tend to start thinking about another pregnancy once their other children are pretty much self sufficient. It is another thing to start thinking about another child if you are caring for one child with complex medical needs or even with twins or triplets.
  • How does your partner feel about having another baby? - although it is not necessary for a man to be active in planning a pregnancy not every mother envisions being a single parent so if your partner doesn't want another baby right now you might want to wait until both of you are ready so that you can support each other throughout the entire thing
  • Is your relationship on solid ground?  - if you are having problems in your relationship a pregnancy can actually end up causing more problems rather than bringing you together. The reason for this is the stress that is involved in caring for a newborn baby. So if things aren't going smooth in the relationship you need to consider postponing the baby until you have worked things out
  • How will another baby affect your family moneywise? - everybody who has kids or is planning on having kids understands the fact that they are going to cost money. So before planning on another kid you want to sit down and look at your finances to ensure that you can make things work without breaking your budget. If you are going through some tough times you might want to delay getting pregnant until things are more stable.
  • How you feel about having another baby - you want to think about if having another baby fills you with dread or happiness. Listen to your gut instincts because they can tell you a lot about if you are ready to have another baby or not.

So now that you have decided to go ahead and have another baby the next thing you are going to need to focus on is getting pregnant. If you are planning to get pregnant the first thing that you should do is to go into your doctor's office for a preconception check up. This is where you and your doctor can talk about the things that you should do before you get pregnant, how long to wait to start trying after you have stopped birth control pills, and you can talk about any health issues that you suffer from and how you can manage them while trying to get pregnant and being pregnant.

One of the biggest problems that people have when deciding to get pregnant is actually getting pregnant. The reason for this is the way that we live in today's society both parents usually work so they end up leading high stress lives and tend to delay family planning, but this doesn't mean that you can't get pregnant. In fact each month you have about a 10% chance of getting pregnant so if you try and get pregnant each month you should end up conceiving in about 10 to 12 months. If you have not conceived within a year than you should seek be seen by your doctor for fertility evaluation. But if you are in the process of trying to get pregnant there are some things that you can do to actually increase your chances of getting pregnant each month. Here is a look at what you can do to increase your chances of getting pregnant:

  • Know your ovulation date and have frequent sex, at least daily, for three days. You want to begin having sex on the morning of your predicted ovulation date.
  • You want to ensure that your partner follows this program so that he can maximize his sperm count.
  • Abstain from having sex 3 days before the ovulation date
  • Stay out of hot tubs and baths the week before the ovulation date and the week after
  • Enjoy a long period of foreplay and sexual excitement right before you have sex
  • Drink a caffeinated beverage about two hours prior to sex. The reason for this is that it can help to increase your sperm count
  • Try having sex in the rear-entry style position because this can help to maximize sperm deposition
  • Once you have had sex make sure that you remain still, laying on your back, for at least 30 minutes. This is to make sure that you optimize sperm retention.

In addition to these techniques to help increase your chances of getting pregnant you are also going to want to lower your stress levels and try to follow a healthy diet. You will also want to make sure that you avoid alcohol and any other harmful substances, including smoking and cut back on the amount of exercise you are doing to help increase your chances of getting pregnant. But keep in mind most people end up getting pregnant when they stop trying so hard to get pregnant.

Now that you have started trying to get pregnant you are going to need to know what signs and symptoms to watch for to help determine if you are pregnant or not. Here are some of the signs and symptoms that you might be experiencing if you are pregnant.

  • Missed period - this is probably the biggest sign that you might be pregnant; in fact it is probably the most reliable sign that you are pregnant. But keep in mind that some women might suffer from light bleeding on the day of implantation, and while it is rare there are also women out there who will continue to have normal periods throughout their entire pregnancy. But the first day of your missed period is the day that you can take a home pregnancy test to find out if you are pregnant or not. Keep in mind that these home pregnancy tests rarely give false results. In fact a negative answer that later turns positive usually means the test was taken to early and a positive test that later turns out the woman was not pregnant usually means there was a very early miscarriage.
  • Morning sickness - this is not very accurately named because pregnant women don't just get sick in the morning some women can get sick in the afternoon, evening or even all day. Not to mention that some women never get sick at all they just have that nauseated feeling. And only 50% of women experience morning sickness, so not all women have it and some have it worse than others.
  • Breast soreness - this can occur in women who are pregnant but it can also occur right before you get your period. The good thing about this is that it usually goes away during the second trimester and it might not just be experienced as tenderness. It can also be experienced as a heightened sensitivity.
  • Headaches - these are actually quite common in pregnancies because of the change of hormones. But this cannot be taken as a sign of pregnancy only as a symptom because there are many other things that can cause headaches including stress.
  • Bloating - this is not going to happen in all women but some women actually start to bloat right away. Some women will also experience bloating right before their period so while this is a symptom of pregnancy it isn't necessarily a sign of pregnancy.
  • Vaginal discharge - this occurs without burning or itching. What happens is that the cervix is building up your mucous plug that will block the opening of the cervix so that your baby is protected from infections and other things. So while this is happening you might notice a slight increase in vaginal secretions. And there should be no smell, burn or itch along with the increase if that is present you want to seek medical attention right away because it can be a sign of infection.

Just keep in mind that practice makes perfect and the more that you practice the higher your chances of getting pregnant are.
