How to swing a golf club

Introduction

It might look simple to swing a golf club. It may be simple for you to swing a golf club. The destination of you golf ball is determined on your perfect swing. If you do not know how to correctly swing a golf club then you will not be a very good golf player. You have to have the perfect stance and the perfect swing to set that ball flying and get it to land where you want it too. Let's go over the steps you will need to take to make that perfect swing of your golf club.

Steps

1. First you will need a set of golf clubs to learn with. You can get used golf clubs or a brand new set. This will depend on how much money you are willing to spend and how serious you are about playing golf.

2. Next you will need to find a place where you can practice your swing. You can go to your local driving range, or you can do this in your back yard, if you have a big back yard.

3. First you will start out with the grip of your golf club.

4. The baseball grip is where all of your fingers are gripping the golf club while holding on very tightly.

5. The single overlap grip is where the pinkie of your right hand over laps the index finger of your left hand and the two interlock.

6. Next you will have your stance.

7. Have you feet shoulder length apart, with your toes pointing out about 5 degrees.

8. You will need to bend your knees slightly, you legs will almost be straight that is how slight you will need to bend your knees.

9. Next bend at the hips over the ball, do not bend at the shoulders in slouching position.

10. Your back should remain straight while you are bending at the hips.

11. Your hands and arms should fall directly below the shoulders. Set your ball out in the desired position and hang your arms over them while using the stance.

12. Put the club in you hand and this is where you hands should hang.

13. Concentrate on the ball.

14. You will want to bring back your arms so that you right shoulder is pointing up and your left shoulder is pointing down.

15. Make sure that you right foot, right hip and your head are in line together.

16. You will also want to make sure that you are right behind the ball.

17. Put all of your weight on your right foot.

18. When you swing you will want to rotate your hips and shift your weight.

19. This will create the perfect pivot for your swing.

Tips & Warnings

  • Don't get discouraged, practice make perfect.
  • Go to tournaments and get tips from other players.
  • Focus on what you goal is, you will succeed in your swing if you focus.
  • Make a video of your swing and pick out your faults and fix them.
  • Take a walk around the golf course, examine the holes, and know what you are up against so that you can better plan your shot.
