How to find used paintball equipment in good condition

For some people paintball is quickly becoming a favorite game to play, but there are those who take it to the next level and join actual paintball teams. If you are on a paintball team, sponsored or not, you probably already have all of the paintball equipment that you need, but if you are just starting to get involved in paintball then you could probably use some equipment. Many people who are just starting out with paintball tend to rent their equipment or they borrow it from a friend, just to make sure that they are going to enjoy the game and will continue to play it before spending a lot of money on the proper equipment. If you have already passed that stage you are probably trying to decide between buying new equipment or buying used equipment in good condition. While nobody can tell you whether to buy new or used equipment, you can actually find used equipment in great shape, and usually for a lot less than what you would pay for it new.

Here are some tips on how to find used paintball equipment in good condition.

Tip one:
One of the first things you should do is to check your local paintball facilities. Many times these facilities will have bulletin boards where serious paintballers can hang up notices or fliers about equipment they are trying to sell; many times you will find pictures along with these advertisements. You can also talk to the staff and/or customers about whether or not they know of anybody selling used paintball equipment that is in good condition.

Tip two:
Another great place to look for used paintball equipment that is in good condition is at sporting good stores that buy and sell used equipment. These kinds of stores will only buy sporting good equipment that is in good condition, so you have a fairly high chance of finding what you are looking for at stores that sell used sporting good equipment, but this does not include your thrift stores. You should also check out the local pawn shops to see what they have for sale.

Tip three:
Another place to look for finding paintball equipment that is in good condition is in the classified section of the newspaper. Many times people will advertise in the newspapers under the sporting goods section any equipment that they have for sale and usually they will tell you whether the equipment is in good condition. You should also check the garage sale notices to see if any garage sales are selling paintball equipment. But a good piece of advice on buying used paintball equipment through the newspaper is to make sure you look at the equipment before buying it because what you consider good condition and what somebody else considers good condition can be quite different.

Tip four:
Another great place to look for paintball equipment is online. You can look at auction sites such as eBay for some of the equipment or you can look at the vast amount of websites that sell paintball equipment. You can also join paintball groups and check their message boards to see if anybody has any equipment for sale. But like buying equipment from the newspaper you are going to want to buy the equipment with a little bit of caution, you should always ask to see pictures of the equipment or to look at it in person before you agree to buy it. If you are using sites like eBay you should always make sure that the seller offers some kind of guarantee just in case you are unhappy with the equipment, otherwise for the most part it is buy at your own risk.
