Adventure activities when traveling

When you travel, you often try new things, and opt to go on some of the tourist activities. One of the ways to make your travel more memorable is to participate in an adventure activity. There are a number of adventure activities that a thrill seeker could participate in. There are the ones that give you an adrenaline rush, like sky diving, or those that are a once in a lifetime experience like white water rafting.
Here are some of the fun adventure activities you can seek out when traveling to make your trip more complete, and give you a chance to try something new and exciting:
1. Bungee jumping: Many theme parks offer bungee jumping towers. So, next time you are on vacation, give it a whirl. Bungee jumping is a thrill. There are some places that will sell a pass where you can jump as many times as you want in an hour. This gives you the chance to try a basic jump, and some fun tricks while jumping, like going backwards, from your knees, flipping, etc. Just don't forget that bungee jumping generally has height and weight restrictions, so before you get too excited to participate, make sure you meet the requirements.
2. Kayaking: there are a number of different kayaking adventures you can go on when traveling. There is river kayaking, and ocean kayaking, as well as kayaking on lakes or standing bodies of water. If you are in Hawaii, Mexico, or somewhere with warm waters, you can often do a combination snorkel and kayak tour where you get to paddle out in the ocean, and then take a nice little break where you enjoy the sea life through snorkel masks. Of course, if you want something a little more adventurous, you can't beat the thrill of river kayaking, especially if there are some rapids to enjoy in a one or two person boat. When kayaking you may have to work with a partner, so make sure you can coordinate with someone so that you do not end up mad at them and frustrated by the end of your adventure activity.
3. Parachuting or Parasailing: if you are going to choose this for your adventure activity you first and foremost need to choose a reputable company to go with. The last thing you want is equipment failure when you are eight thousand feet in the air plummeting toward the earth. So, choose a company with a good reputation. You will need to take a class to be able to parachute or sky dive. If you want something that is still a lot of fun, but is scaled back some, try parasailing. It gives you a perspective of the world you just can't get from the boat. It is peaceful and enjoyable. It is not an all day thing either, so if you just have a few hours this is the adventure activity for you.
4. White water rafting: this is a trip that everyone should try at least once in their life. Never go without an experienced guide that knows how to read the rapids and help you steer your way through. Be sure to visit the safety instructions, and wear your life vest. Usually a few day trip is the way to go, but even a three to five hour rafting adventure can leave you feeling thrilled for weeks!

They all sound like good fun, but I think I’ll give the Bungee jumping and Parachuting a miss
